Okay, here we go again. Let me start by saying I knew this would happen. I’ve been subtly asking Felicia Day and Veronica Belmont for about a year whether or not they would be either running a contest or starting a collection that my book might be included in. I understand that they are busy and there is a tremendous amount of work involved, so I wasn’t surprised that it took so long to happen. I’d gotten tired of waiting, however, and launched my project, The Zookeeper’s Dilemma, last month which would make it technically ineligible for the new Geek & Sundry fantasy contest.

So, in order to be included in the new contest, I had to restart from scratch. This means if you did buy the book, that pre-order has been cancelled. If you’re still interested, and I hope you are, please reorder now. To anyone who used and lost Inkshares credits, I’m sorry but I don’t have any control over that. Please DM me if that is the case. The full reboot is necessary so that everyone in the contest is on a level playing field. It wouldn’t be fair if I started out with orders while everyone else had zero. It wasn’t an easy choice, but I think it was the right one. If any of you have changed your minds since you ordered, I certainly won’t hold it against you. You were kind enough to buy my book once; it’s a lot to ask you to do it twice.

Lastly, there is a new Vaginal Fantasy Hangout today, so I changed the video link. What’s gonna happen tonight? You never know till it happens. It’s been a long, weird day, so I’m going to go to sleep now.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!

Hi everyone. I know…nothing for a week and then two updates in the same day, but this can’t wait. Geek & Sundry is launching another contest, and in order to be fair to the other contestants, I’ll have to cancel all the orders that you’ve already made to join. I know this is kind of a pain, but for those of you who pre-ordered, if you could see it in your heart to reorder after the project relaunches tomorrow, I would really appreciate it. I know some of you may have used up credits, but I really believe this is the best course of action for the book. There will be another update tomorrow when all the administration is sorted out. Until then, don’t buy my book. What? The order will just be cancelled. Wait until I announce tomorrow. Thanks for all of your patience.

In project news, I’ve finished the first major edit this past weekend, so I’ll be sending out copies to some beta readers soon. I should be able to spend some more time looking at other projects here.

Sorry about the lack of updates recently, but I got busy with work and life as sometimes happens. Hopefully, I can get more involved with all you wonderful Inkshares people this week and send out some reviews and recs to a few of the great ideas I’ve seen here. In the meantime, here is your weekly excerpt from the novel. For those worried that there wasn’t enough fantasy in this urban fantasy, you’ll be pleased to know that this week features a talking rabbit, secret cabals, and a naked werewolf. Enjoy.

Also, I’m too lazy to make a book trailer right now, so for those of you who have never heard of Vaginal Fantasy, l thought it might be a good idea to post the video of last month’s hangout on the project page. The next live broadcast is August 2nd. You don’t have to read the book to enjoy the show. You can be that one person in the book club that didn’t finish the book. It’s fine.

For those who asked whether Felicia, Bonnie, Veronica, and Kiala know about the book, the answer is yes. I asked them for permission before I posted project. Their inclusion in the book was in no way meant to be exploitative of their hard work, but is meant as a tribute to the inspiration that they gave me to take up writing again.
