K.T.McQueen liked an update for The Lore of the Aos Sí

I have two surprises for you and one big thank you!

One. Last night I did an interview regarding the creation and inspiration of The Lore of the Aos Sí, with one of our own Bards! I have yet to finalize the transcript, but I will be posting the transcript here in a couple days, so look forward to that.

Two. I have decided to compile the extra Lore and Content into a companion guide for The Lore of the Aos Sí on Wattpad. I will be gathering all related content from here and organizing it into the companion, called The Song of the Goddess. Give me a few days on that and I will have it up for you to peruse. Here is the cover art I designed for the companion projecct.

Lastly, I wanted to thank everyone who supported me in the adventure thus far. ALL OF YOU, have been invaluable to the progress of this campaign and its story.

Yesterday was a huge day for the campaign, as we pulled in 10 Pre-Orders. Big Thanks to everyone who stepped up and gave the project a big boost! I am eternally grateful for everyone’s support.

Look for more content in the morning, I think I will present you with The Weefolk of the GreatWood Forest.

Have a grand evening,

Blessed Be,

Christopher Lee

      Hey guys,

I’m always intrigued to find out what experience made someone into a writer.

For me: I was obsessed with action figures as a child. I had a paper route and every ounce of spare change I had fueled my addiction. I would use my bedroom as a "battleground" and would spread my action figures around the room using a weird narrative that I would narrate myself over the course of several days. I’d log the whole thing in a journal and keep track of the ongoing battles.

Think something like Cyclops and Batman taking an X-Wing across Dagobah to battle a Dragon. That’s one of the first I remember. I used to use fishing line to string up my flying toys from the ceiling. Looking back, my childhood bedroom probably looked like the perfect place for a gestating serial killer.

But that was my first brush with story. It made me obsessed with adventure and really motivated me to use my imagination in creative ways.

It was only years later, looking back, that I realized this is where it all began.

Andy Weir posted his story online as a serial - he wasn’t really intending to publish it and sort of stumbled backwards into having an enormously successful book. Readers of his blog (I think it was on a blog) asked him to make it available as an ebook for easier reading, and he put it up on Amazon for 99c because he couldn’t put it for free. :D

What he DID have, because he wrote it as a serial online for free, was a big online following and an amazing book. Hugh Howey is another highly successful online author who wrote serially (I think) and then self-published. (If you haven’t read Wool, stop everything and do it immediately!)

All this is to say that you should probably have enough attached to your campaign page to give your potential readers a taste of your story, writing style, and hopefully a hook into the main plot. Don’t give away all the milk for free? Most of your work after you ’go live’ and start accepting preorders should not go into creating more content for your book, but getting into all the social media outlets you can get your fingers into.

        Also, I love Andy Weir.
