Thad Woodman liked a review for The Future of Men
I’ve studied boomers and the Age Wave for the past three decades; however, I also recognize the need to focus on younger generations, especially on the changing dynamics of gender relationships. In The Future of Men, Jack Myers confronts changing realities in society, culture, business and more.

      Morning!

Just a quick note - a little 'inside information' if you will. We're turning a corner this week where I have to start convincing strangers and people I can't directly threaten, cajole, or sob upon to pre-order the book. Scary I know!

I've been wracking my brain - and I've decided the best way to convince them to take a chance on my new book is to just GIVE them my first two books. SO - next week, May 4th-8th, my first two books are going to be absolutely free on Amazon. This is for the ebook - Kindle version -- sorry I don't have it available in other formats!

You guys definitely help yourself as well, even those of you that have the paperbacks. I'm hoping this will be the perfect way for you to convince your friends and nerds on the street. Take a chance on Asteroid Made of Dragons - HERE'S TWO FREE BOOKS.

As always - thank you all so much for your support. Please tell me if I have egg on my face - and if you have any ideas or avenues or high-placed Illuminati friends, now is the time to bring them to the attention of the campaign!

Thad Woodman liked a chapter from The man in the cell

        Chapter 1

The air was dry and thin, with a strong sterile smell of chlorine and ammonia. A man unaware of his fate, tossed and turned on a small cot. The toxic air began to burn his throat, nose, and eyes. His lungs began to seize as a dry cough ripped through his body as he tried to breathe the thin air.

        *Gasp*

The harsh thin air rushed back into his lungs burning the as it made its entire way down causing him to cough more, and forcing the hellish cycle to start again. . . .

          Friends:

Books are arriving! Our formal publishing date for "Blasted by Adversity: the Making of a Wounded Warrior" isn’t until May 22nd, but we’re getting reports that some people are receiving their books in the mail — even before we’ve gotten our copies!

It’s great timing, as Luke is the featured commencement speaker at the Tallahassee Community College graduation Saturday night.

When you receive your book(s), we’d love to know what you think about it. And if you love it (like we think you will), please consider giving it a review on Amazon and Goodreads. Every little bit helps!

Remember:  YOU made this book possible...we appreciate you.

May Backers Update: Herb: Mastering the Art of Cooking with Cannabis

            Hello Backers!

April was a busy month for us - not only were our chefs flat out preparing an amazing range of dishes and producing some beautiful photography, they were also busy making appearances and providing their services as part of 4/20... a date that has become synonymous with cannabis.

Girl Friday Productions joined the team as our editors, and they're pushing us all to meet not only their internal deadlines, but the deadlines of our printers and distributors.

Some of the recipes flying past my desk over the last month have been mouth-watering! Seared Sirloin with Aged Balsamic Vinegar and Medicated Bread Pudding... Garlic Shrimp... Roasted Cod on Arugula Puree...

Check out this shot I stole from our photographer while he wasn't looking... Wild mushroom Pappardelle with Peas & Goat Cheese!

We're so grateful for your support and patience - crafting a book, especially a cookbook, is a slow and painstaking process.

I hope you've had a chance to check out our exclusive Backers Video page at http://www.thestonerscookbook.com/backer_videos.php

We have a range of videos for you from introductory cannabis cooking guides, to interviews with our CEO, and even a new video series featuring medicine hunter Chris Kilham as he explores the mysterious world of Ayahuasca in Amazonian Peru! Each week I'll post another video for you.

We're planning to have our CEO Matt Gray answer questions from our fans and backers on video in the coming weeks - if you'd like to submit a cannabis or Herb Kitchen related question, drop me a line at video@thestonerscookbook.com

Our Facebook page is also a great place to drop by for cannabis news and humor - check out https://www.facebook.com/TheStonersCookbook

Have a wonderful month! I'll be back in June with more updates!

Desmond Harriet took his place in 3rd Company’s front rank and pulled a sleeve across his sweat-soaked face. Not to be outdone, it seemed, the August sun was bearing down on Brooklyn with as much vigor as the British Army. Now, Continental forces deployed to meet this invasion of Long Island in the first major conflict after the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

With the new Army’s organization, the Rhode Island Regiment became the 9th Continental Regiment. It was assigned to . . .

It's Sunday update time...and it's an exciting one.

Today I received the first bits of art from Patrick Le Roux (BrotherBaston) and they've come out really cool. Here's a group shot of the four main characters that form Shadow Point.

I really like how they came out and I hope you all do too. There'll be a couple more character shots coming later this week so keep an eye out.

If you'd like to see more of BrotherBaston's work you can find him here:

Some time soon he should be uploading timelapse videos of the creation of the above pictures, but I don't have a timetable on that as yet so I'll keep you posted.

As a short writing update, it's progressing well but after a solid month of writing I've decided to take a few days off over the weekend and will get back to finishing up the first draft this week. I'm into the last few chapters so hopefully it won't be too much longer till the draft is complete and then...rewrites.

Also in case you missed it, earlier in the week I posted a new excerpt from the book, you can find it at the link below.

                An excerpt from Chapter 6

And lastly, thank you to all the new backers in the last week, your support is really appreciated.

                Until next time.
