Regina McMenomy, Ph.D. liked an update for The New Aleph

Hey folks,

Writing is still plugging along. All the artwork is on schedule. The book is turning out to be a lot longer than I expected, though. I’m about to break 130K words, and the ending is just now kicking into gear.

Also!...keep a look out, because I may be going on a podcast soon to talk about the book! That will definitely help us get some real traction in getting to the goal. Stay tuned, it’s not over yet....

Regina McMenomy, Ph.D. liked an update for APEX

    Dear Readers,

Thank you so much for your encouragement and support this week. I’m so honored to have 47 pre-orders for my book, APEX. Thank you for pre-ordering a copy! In addition, many thanks to those of you that took time out of your busy schedules to write me a recommendation or review, or who sent me a message saying they liked my book. It has been a heartwarming experience.

I’m still early in my campaign period, but I have a long way to go to reach 750 pre-orders. I’d also love to be in the top three for the Crypt TV award, which would give my book special recognition and ensure its publication. If you could spread the word among your friends and followers, I’d sincerely appreciate it.

If anyone has an idea on how to further shamelessly promote my book through other channels beyond Facebook, LinkedIn, and Inkshares, please let me know. All suggestions are much appreciated.

    Cheers, Debbie

      I’m not dead yet.

Dear friends and followers, I have been getting back into the groove of active campaigning. I try to keep accurate records, in case things should happen to go wrong ... it also helps to alert me to friends who have promised an order but who may have forgotten. Do not worry: I shall hunt you down.... Er. I mean, I shall send you a gentle reminder. Yes.

(Seriously though. I really appreciate everything I’ve gotten from you guys so far. Some of you have been hugely encouraging and enormously helpful. In many ways, this will be as much your victory as mine.)

Meanwhile! I’ve finally managed (after many, many takes) to record a video for the project page. Go take a look!

What to expect from me in the near future:

      1. A third Peterkin Investigates IF game.
      2. A floor plan for the Veterans’ Club.
      3. A gentle reminder.

Now, let’s talk about a couple of works around here that I would really like to see getting further on their campaigns.

      1) "Upload", Mark Meredith. I’ve spoken about this before, but it bears repeating: this is some quality noir happening here, for all it’s classed "science fiction". The Thriller Night Syndicate seems to agree, since they’ve named it this month’s pick. It tells the story of Detective Qin (look, an Asian hero! Not that I’m biased or anything!) in a world where people habitually clone themselves to guard against unexpected death. Well, here’s Qin in a newly cloned body, and the story opens in gritty, noir fashion on a crime scene where it’s discovered that the vic is ... Qin’s previous body. Seriously, if you love mysteries (and if you’re following "Murder at the Veterans’ Club", then chances are that you do) you’re going to love this one.

      2) "The Fairy Stepmother, Inc.", Maggie Hoyt. This is a very different flavour, but delicious all the same. It’s Cinderella told from the stepmother’s point of view ... though I suspect there will be a number of twists thrown in. Evelyn, the stepmother in question, is introduced as an intelligent, independent woman, who has to deal with some rather rigid societal expectations; and it’s all told with some delightfully wry humour. Check it out: I promise you the prose will just race along like a drive through the countryside.

Until next week, friends! In the meantime ... don’t forget!

        Greetings Bards!

I have decided to run the artwork raffle through to the end of the campaign to maximize the draw for the book. I will be adding more and more pieces to the raffle as the weeks go by.

Just a refresher for those who have forgotten or who never saw anything about the raffle. There are two pieces of art up for grabs so far. Both 18" x 24" canvas prints of the Druidic Wheel and the Map of Tír na nÓg. There will be more art projects to come. I forsee Druid wands, amulets, and much more! All hand crafted by yours truly!

        1. You will receive one raffle ticket for pre-ordering the book.

        2. You will receive two raffle tickets for referring a friend who pre-orders the book.

Make sure to tell all of your friends and family about the book, beg, plead, harass, harang, threaten even...ok did I go too far? hmmm maybe lol

        Cheers!

        Have a great Friday!
