Everyone groovy? So this happened this weekend:
Yes, that’s me in full-on starstruck goober mode. Poor Bruce.
So Mr. Ash VS. The Evil Dead VS. Inkshares wished me well with my project. We might have had more of a meaningful conversation had I not been like Ralphie when he finally gets to see Santa in A Christmas Story. At least we had a nice battle of the chins.
But I didn’t get him to just sign my football, oh no. I have a special giveaway item to raffle just in time for Halloween: Authentic Ash Army of Darkness Evil Dead POP! Signed in person by Ash himself.
Check it out:

So the deal is this: We still need to push considerably to catch the lead pack. This Ash POP will be raffled away at the Quill marker, when I reach 250 pre-orders. Anyone who orders (including previous orders) until then will be eligible. Multiple pre-orders can receive multiple entries towards winning the prize. If someone comes from a referral, you will also get double weighted. Do I sound like S-Mart or what?
Until then, keep your boomsticks loaded, steer clear of Deadites and chew bubble gum.
Another victory, Faoii! Let me hear you ROAR!
Tonight we hit 150 pre-orders! That’s 60% of the way to select publication. Cheer for yourselves, for each other, for every faoii that has picked up a blade. Cheer for the underdogs that are proving, one warrior at a time, that anyone can make a dream come true if they’re willing to fight for it. Cheer for Kaiya and her army. For Clearwall--the land we’re trying to save.
If you haven’t picked up a blade yet, make sure you do it before Saturday when I draw for the winner of the $100 Visa Giftcard. Obviously, you want this book, but I also want you to have a chance to win the giftcard as well. So order before October 1st. No excuses for being late to role call, soldier!
A final note-- I’ve noticed a lot of talk about The Last Faoii in an...unexpected place this week. Kaiya is beginning to turn heads in the LGBT community! This pleases me a great deal, especially since I haven’t been marketing The Last Faoii to this group intentionally. I’d considered Kaiya’s sexuality too subtle to truly make her a particular role model for young gay and lesbian teens-- in fact, I had purposefully kept relationships out of her main focus. I didn’t think it appropriate for her to worry about a spouse when she has an entire country to save! However, apparently that’s part of her appeal--the acceptance of who she is without the need for justification or affirmation. I am truly honored that people from different lives and backgrounds are supporting Kaiya’s story.
Okay, enough. Enjoy yourselves, faoii. Celebrate our victories. The fight will continue tomorrow, but for now let us revel in our greatness. That contest is still on the horizon, and we WILL surmount that hill.
Illindria guide your footfalls.
