It would be great for Inkshares to display a list of all uploads/chapters at the very top of the page, and that this list be able to be easily reordered.

When a visitor arrives to this page, the first chapter in the order should be the one displayed.

Mark Anthony Ciccone commented on Discarded

    Hello!

As of last night, I’ve plugged the last gaps in Chapters 4 and 5 of Discarded, and am set to resume entirely NEW work, something I’ve longed for since the Charybdis of edits and gap-work first sucked me in. Took me a bit longer than originally promised--dialogue is an issue for me in almost every work, and my characters have a tendency to speechify if i don’t watch myself--but it all looks far better than the original rough version. I’m aiming to have the entire draft completed by the end of this month--inspiration and real-life job permitting--but given how much is still to come, I won’t shy away from extending this date, even if it means taking away from the other projects I have planned starting in March.

Also, it seems that for some strange reason, the first section of Chapter 2 has disappeared from the project page, so I’ve re-submitted it. Main problem now is that it’s at the very end of the upload list--putting it right after Chapter 5--and I haven’t been able to find a way of moving it up to the right spot. If anyone knows the site setup well enough to solve this issue, please let me know; linearity is key, in any story!  (Unless it’s Slaughterhouse Five or similar, of course :) )

Lastly, being still somewhat in the dark on promotion--on this site and elsewhere--any advice on this is welcome. The followers have been coming in steadily, and I’m more than happy to return the favor, but I’m very much looking to widen the novel’s reach. If anybody has ideas on this, or knows of a good new place to start, please don’t hesitate to share.

Otherwise, just PLEASE read, recommend and review!
