Jason Pomerance liked an update for Cape’s Side Bay

More Issues...

In August 2022 I was told Cape’s Side Bay would be published by the end of 2022. in Early 2023 I was told it would be published at the end of May 2022. Now, as we enter the end of May I am told it will be published by Halloween 2023.

This has been frustrating on many levels, and at this point I am unsure if inkshares will follow through on their word to publish Cape’s Side Bay.

Every email I receive is the same "several books have taken years to get published." "we got caught up in more important books."

I am sorry for the 7 years of waiting for this book (which was complete and ready to be published when the crowdfunding campaign first began. It has received very minimal revisions/additions since the crowdfunding goal was met).

I’m not sure if Inkshares will publish this or not. If you would like a refund please email hello@inkshares.com.

Thank you,

James

Jason Pomerance liked an update for Unnatural Ends

    20 June 2023!

After more delays than anyone would like, this is finally happening! 20 June 2023, four weeks from today, will see the North American release of Unnatural Ends. What this means for you, if you’ve pre-ordered any physical copies, is that you should CHECK and UPDATE YOUR MAILING ADDRESS. It has been a while, after all, and if you’ve moved in the meantime (as I have) you don’t want the thing you’ve paid good money for to be sent off to the wrong place.

You may have noticed that I specified North American release up there. This is because we’re also getting a UK release a month later, in July. (I think this means that those of you in the UK will have the satisfaction of getting your ordered copies in before Waterstones.) Inkshares is breaking into the UK market, and guess what they’re using as a battering ram?

That’s right. That’s me on the cover of the issue of The Bookseller distributed on the second day of the London Book Fair last month. The other guy is Fulton Ross, author of The Unforgiven Dead, which you should definitely check out because it’s a darn good read.

We’re just counting down the days now!

      Hi friend!
I’ve finished two drafts lately—one of my nonfiction West Virginia punk book for WVU Press and one of the sequel to the ska romance, Pick It Up!, which I’ve titled Work it Out! The nonfiction book will head back out to peer review and Work It Out! will sit for a bit while I work up the courage to edit. In the meantime, here are the vibes:

It’s a contemporary romance about two warehouse workers who fake date to hide their efforts to organize their coworkers but end up having real feelings.
While you’re waiting for more, please check out this article I wrote for the Press Enterprise on similar themes!
This month, the books I’m reading and loving include:Come As You Are by Jess K HardyThis is an awesome indie romance about Gen X-ers.River Woman, River Demon by Jennifer GivhanThis psychological thriller had me literally gasping and my heart pounding.Pride and Protest by Nikki PayneI loved this modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice.Philosophical Trends in the Feminist Movement by Anuradha GhandyIt’s continually wild to me how much women’s history my education, even an MA in women’s studies, failed to provide because of US-centrism and anti-communist propagandha. Worth reading if you think you’re knowledgeable about feminism and the women’s movement.
What are you reading? How are you? I can’t wait to hear from you.
