@KyleJames do you think the exerpt worked well because of it not giving away the "juice" of the story, or because your book, being a memoir, is more of a collection of separate events than a contiguous story line? Even if it goes chronologically, I am assuming that it’s not every moment or detail, but more the most memorable experiences.
