Jamison Stone liked an update for The Body of Chris

Hey friends! I'm receiving some really incredible early reviews, and I want to share them with you, especially since you have made this project possible! The reviews are on my Inkshares project page and thebodyofchris.com, but here are the ones I've received so far in case you're just checking email. Thanks again for all the support!

"With humor ,  style and insight,   author and life coach Chris Cole  take s readers on a page-turning ride through addiction, delusion, psychosis,  disordered eating, body dysmorphia,  patients rights, and the search for G-d.  His story will strike a chord—not only with those who suffer from mental illness, but also anyone who has ever dreamed a little too big. As Cole shows, the difference between rational and irrational might be as small as those two little letters suggest.” - Chelsea Lowe

“It takes courage, an engaging authorial-voice and a deep love for people to reveal one’s winding path from significant personal struggles to heart-centered awakenings, as Chris Cole has done in The Body of Chris. You will feel elation, many laughs and intimate moments of sadness—even a few tears--while reading his stories. And when you’ve completed The Body of Chris, you will be more inspired, sensitive and warmly appreciative of the full-emotional range of your own life, as well as admiration for Chris and all folks on paths toward balance and wholeness from wherever each might be, in their journey.” - Stuart Sovatsky, PhD

"The Body of Chris grabbed my attention. SO raw and honest—two words I value highly. Yes at times unifying, at times divisive, but ultimately liberating. Chris leaves no stone unturned in his transformative journey, a true story of clinical and spiritual growth. He opened my mind and my heart… as any good book ought to do.” - Debra Silverman

"Chris is an arresting storyteller. This book will illuminate anyone who has had even a taste of such maladaptive behaviors and should be required reading for every therapist, counselor, minister, or instructor in the field of Transpersonal Psychology." - Dorothy Walters, PhD

"Throughout history, the relationship between spiritual experiences and mental disorders has always existed, and yet Western society continually turns a blind eye to this paradoxical relationship. With Chris Cole’s book, the intimate link between madness and mysticism could not be more apparent. Written with precision, brutal honesty and flare, this cautionary tale from the "boy-next-door" could be the book that finally opens the mainstream to one of the great mysteries of our time. I sincerely hope it does!” - Sean Blackwell

As a child, I thought my parents were perfect. I wondered if they were really my parents, if maybe there had been a switch at the hospital or some immaculate intervention they would disclose to me once I was older. I sometimes imagined them dying: in a car crash, on an airplane, murdered by evil villains, and I would feel a strange mix of profound relief and sadness right before asking God for forgiveness. Their love was overwhelming, and I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to be what they wa. . .

After a moment, a cloaked figure glided in from the window. Covered in a wispy mantle of blackness, Nevain floated toward the center of the room with dark tendrils circling each silent step. In a startling flash, the cloaked figure then spun and threw three more daggers into the shadowed depths where Nadaraja hid. The daggers, however, pierced the inky dark only to be buried in the wall with a loud thunk.
