It's Satupdaturday!
Hi Everyone! As I sit here I see that the counter just ticked up over 100 copies sold! Wow! Granted, it's with the help of a couple super buyers (thanks, Family!), but I really appreciate the support. I really hate having to tag people on Facebook like I have the last couple days, but a) it seems that not everyone has been seeing my spam; and b) it works. Yesterday was a 16 buyer day. Today hasn't been quite as good (9 new supporters so far), but still above where we were on a daily numbers basis.
In terms of other numbers, we're now at 69 supporters - 69 people willing to toss $5 (at least) my way to help me get this thing published. Number 10 is at 74, so we're just about to break the front page! More importantly, number 5 (the cutoff for the contest winners) is all the way at 132. Youch.
"How can I help you reach your goal, Dave?" You are almost certainly asking yourselves.
Here's how: Spread the word. And don't just spread the word, pester someone. Or someones. If each current buyer found one other person to order, I'm suddenly top 5, and that's the shortcut to the publishing contract.
And of course, if you are a "follower" but haven't yet bought, please spend those wonderful signup credits, along with another $4.99, on me. I promise it'll be worth it.
Here's how not: Make a second account and buy. We authors got an email from the Inkshares boss (Hi Boss!) saying that some contest entrants had been creating fictitious accounts to pad their numbers.
For your reading pleasure, I have added chapters 4 and 5 for preview. Alison and gang head out to find adventure and perhaps their first taste of combat.
