Clash with the Immortals, like its prequel, is riveting and engaging. The characters are three dimensional and the lore which should be familiar is expanded, but not in a way to alienate new readers. While I personally don't like to read things out of order, I wouldn't see any problem with picking up the series at this book, but both are worth reading.

I love stories about angels and demons and good vs evil and judging from what I have read, this story shall be no exception. It seems that an enormous amount of love, time, research, and detail has gone into this story and I look forward to reading more. After learning that this was the second book in a series, I promptly added the first "Unholy Pursuit" novel to my reading list.

A 24 year old single mother with energy and a fighting attitude is always on the road fleeing malevolent forces coming after her. As she gives as good as she gets and always manages to stay one step ahead of her pursuers due to her inner qualities and a little help from above, the reader comes to realize that she is more than just a tough, strong woman fighting to save her family: she is a warrior called to battle to fight for the greater good . A good intro to the paranormal genre and for a perspective on what life will be like a half millennium from now." https://unholypursuit.wordpress.com/2016/06/24/what-the-critics-are-saying/

One thing I noticed about this author's work. Historical and even mythological figures are used in the correct historical era the alleged character supposedly existed. That tells me the author actually researched the history of their character and knows their background very well. They remained true to the legends and myths and that is very important in capturing an audience familiar with the myth. Although the author added their own aberrant it is not unbelievable.

Despite all the hate, degradation and brutality Ana suffered; love still shines through. I love the romanticism in this book. It's written as thus the writer is speaking from the heart. I got the picture from the author's Face book page. I also like how the author used live artwork to illustrate the story. Someone took loving care to actually draw these images. I can see why the reviewers called this work a masterpiece and have given the book such high praises. I never read a story quite like this. Yes, it have some shocking parts but once you get over the shock and move on. It's a heartfelt story.
