James Rasile liked an update for The Sleeping Man

I honestly didn’t think I would have a reader update so quickly, but here I am. In 24 hours, I’ve had 26 preorders and while it is upsetting I didn’t hit 250 immediately... THANK YOU!

I attempted to record a new video for TSM homepage on Inkshares, and, well, you should just see what I had to work with. In the video I attempt to tell people that I have already finished the book and am currently working on the second draft right now. That means when we hit the funding goal, the book will follow shortly after.

I’m planning to get this done before November 2016 because I will be stationed to a ship out of San Diego and deployed who-knows-where doing who-knows-what (I’m an IT Technician, so it will be a lot of, "Have you tried turning it off and back on again in a classified way?").

So many people have already recommended and shared on Twitter, Facebook, and Inkshares, it has made my day. I need everyone’s help getting the book out to the people I don’t know. For my part, I will continue to comb Inkshares, leave reviews, pre-order when I can, and keep working, but if the first 24 hours are any indication, this is going to be no problem.

Sweet Dreams,

Stephen Carignan

P.S. If you saw the video, Emma says hi.

did some research.  Here are some suggestions:

Ask your bank to set you up with a secondary account for online purchases, and keep only a small amount in that account. The account would need its own ATM card, with its own credit card number. Just make sure this account lacks overdraft protection; you don’t want money moving automatically from your real account into this one.

Buy a Visa Gift Card online from an official retailer.  Con: not reloadable so when it’s done it’s done.  One of many example retailers: www.giftcards.com/visa-gift-cards  Additionally, in Germany you can buy gift cards at these locations and more:  Gallerian, Kaufhof, Karstadt, Douglas, H&M, etc.

I would need to do more research into it, but you could look into getting a virtual credit card, like VCPay.  Here’s an article from a South African explaining how he is using it: https://toughnickel.com/personal-finance/VCpay

Another possible method that I would need to test to see if it can be used like a credit card is Paysafecard (https://www.paysafecard.com/en-us/products/)  I did a search using my village’s postal code and found vendors in my village and the two neighboring ones.

Finally, in my research I found Global GCash Virtual Pay, which has a lot of little nice benefits that can be used.

If you’re willing to do deal with the extra logistics, you can find one person who doesn’t mind using their credit card, and get up to nine of the card-wary people to join with them in a group; then that first person places an order for multiple books, on behalf of the whole group and you can redistribute the books later.

That’s how I’ve been dealing with the additional expenses of the shipping fees. A few of the multi-copy orders on my book actually represent groups of more than one person.

        Greetings Readers!

I wanted to share a little something I whipped up tonight to give everyone a bit of scope for the story thus far.  I’m sure this will change a bit here and there as I finish the story, but for now this is exactly what the land of Tir Na Nog/Valone looks like from a birdseye view.  I do hope you all enjoy! Now this map doesn’t have alot to do with the second book Electric Messiah, but it does give you the scope necessary to digest the first book in the Series Children of the Goddess.  If you haven’t already followed the first book in the series please jump over and give it a quick look! I have a nine rough chapters posted there!
