“I think we’re over under-estimating something here…” Henry was trying to control his emotions. “We’re not. Henry, you let the police do their job and conduct the search on the missing boy. All of who by the way agree about the bear. Including your friend Trundle.”

James Rasile liked an update for Mission 51

Artist Idan Carré has created another fascinating illustration for Mission 51! It goes along with the chapter called Final Approach. I get such a kick seeing these ideas come to life so vividly. She captured so many of the story’s details! Thank you, Idan! :-)

James Rasile liked an update for Beyond The Code

Good evening to all...unless you’re in another time zone then good whatever time for you.

Things are going good ever since the campaign ended with Beyond the Code on the happy side of Quill. Set aside some quality rest time after the soul strengthening climb and now I’m back to work. I thought it would be prudent to give you guys a run down of what work I’m doing towards the book you all paid good money for.

I don’t have any real set dates yet but I can give you a summery of my plan of attack. First of all the name of the game is EDIT EDIT EDIT!! I’m going to completely dedicate every free minute I have towards going through the book and using the advise I have received from the campaign to make this book the best I can.

Second, and this brings me to a question of opinion for all of you, the subject of beta readers. I was thinking about selecting some volunteers to  be Beta readers for Beyond the Code. You may caught a plot hole I didn’t see or have an idea on something that would be totally awesome in the book. What is your opinion on this system. Email me at Kelsey31@hotmail.com. I’d love to hear from you.

And third, once those things are taken care of I’m going to be giving the cover art a complete make over. I have some ideas for that but nothings concrete yet so I’ll keep them to myself until I figure out which ones are actually doable.

That’s it for now. I’ll keep all you lovely people up to date on the happenings of Beyond the Code. A reminder to all you followers who haven’t pre-ordered yet, now that Beyond the Code is officially a thing you can get a physical copy for only $14.99. Cool beans.

Thank you all soo much for following all this time and I will see you later.

For whatever it’s worth (and I’m sure this is the exception rather than the rule), my book had 2 followers when I opened pre-orders.

I’m sure there’s an upside to having a base you can send an update to when you open pre-orders, and some folks would argue it’s prudent to amass dozens/even a couple hundred followers before starting a campaign, but I personally believe it doesn’t make the difference between a successful campaign and one that doesn’t make it. The vast, vast, vast majority of my sales were people who followed and ordered the book all at once while I was in campaign mode.

I think if you’re unsure, give your campaign some extra leash. Inkshares recommends 90 days for your campaign, but there’s no reason you can’t go with 120, 150 or even 300 days and then amass followers while the book is on sale. I think there’s a significant benefit to getting people to follow the book when they also can pre-order it, because then they’re making one trip to your page instead of two.

Surviving abuse leaves no soul unscathed, and this is especially true of Ptielieren, an elite elvish bodyguard involuntarily integrated into an aversive-heavy culture. Strength can exist absent a ringing victory and weakness does not signify defeat.
James Rasile liked an update for Chronozone Zero

        Hello all,

Well I hate to update things without much to say, but I realise it’s been a while. I’ve been tweaking the cover some more and recently run aground somewhat in creative energy, due in no small part to the demoralising realities of being a creative idealist in primitive 21C society. BUT! I’m not just going to fold up and shuffle off quietly. Chronozone Zero is inevitable. History is stubborn that way.

One thing that is definitely coming in the next few weeks is an introductory video that talks about the book, but also Chronoportology and roughly how it works. And if it isn’t here by then, I will go back in time and make sure it is- was. I guarantee you will experience the corrected version of the spacetime continuum at some point in the meta-future*.

Thanks again for supporting the project. It means a heck of a lot!
