Dear friends
I’m writing to you from beautiful but, currently, cold Chile. Unfortunately, I had to travel here responding to an unexpected family emergency, but even when dealing with difficult times, visiting my country and my family is a blessing.
We are four months away from the release of The Catcher’s Trap and Inkshares has officially started the marketing efforts to promote the book. The Catcher has been pitched to media outlets, a couple of interviews have been scheduled, and the release party is being planned. All exciting news. Even more exciting, the fact that this is only the beginning.
As for the first official The Catcher’s Trap event, if you are in the mood for meeting a hard-working new author, come and meet me at the CT HorrorFest on August 27th, at The Matrix Conference Center in Danbury, CT. I will be there sharing advance copies of the book and paving the road for an epic release on November 8th.
Finally, don’t forget I’m participating in the current Nerdist Contest as part of an amazing anthology with 14 other, talented and creative authors. Check out our project and get your copy of this collection of short stories.
Have a fantastic weekend.
Happy Friday all,
I have a few updates for this weekend, but having already sent an update this week, I’ll make it snappy.
(1) 14 Orders left to reach Full INKSHARES Publishing !! That’s right, you can stop rubbing your eyes! We have 15 days to get less than an order per day.. are we up for it?!
(2) Please check out my interview on Nell Walton’s great blog. Nell offered this feature even though the novel has nothing to do with SciFi or Fantasy , I did say I’ll look into sticking a dragon in there... Khaleesi John maybe? ;-)

(3) The Syndicate I lead here on Inkshares "Thriller Night" now has a Goodreads group. This is in effort to increase exposure of thrillers, mysteries and suspense novels on Inkshares; and to increase Inkshares’ visibility on Goodreads. We let authors who are nominated for our backing pitch their books, and a few have already done so. We encourage membership from everybody, not just paying syndicate members. You are invited through this link.
Again, thank you all for the amazing support!

A very good Wednesday to all! Someone won a prize as I have hit 125 sales, but the randomizer has not yet been run. I am in transit from my hometown of Arcata back to San Francisco, so said randomizer will spin as soon as I get back home. (Probably tomorrow morning)
The reading was very good and quite a bit of fun! Even though it was smaller than I’d hoped, I think it was a good crowd and, hopefully, these folks will help to spread the word! Prizes were doled out and there was much rejoicing! Also a whole lot of interest in whether I was going to build a D20 world setting off of this series and how exactly that would work. I hadn’t much thought about building a system, but I love typing, so who knows! (Well, that is to say, I’ll throw it on with the other million projects I’ve got stewing)
Now, for the weekly story! In fact, I’m gonna put up all the previous stories, just in case you missed them. They’re linked in, so just press the story you would like to read and BAM! You’re there! As always, pre-read these tales before just assuming they’re appropriate for your kids. They should be, but…
This week’s story -->;;;;;; Forgiveness in a Latte
And, of course, please check out the changes to Borehole Bazaar’s Landing Page!
Layout Options
Hey Everyone!
So, I’ve been playing around with a variety of layout options. One option includes putting text on a white page with illustrations on an opposite page. Another layout option would include putting all of the body text on top of the corresponding images. And, a third would be more of a hybrid option.
If you were to choose one layout, what would you choose?
A) White with adjacent illustration
B) Text on images
C) A hybrid of the two?
