Ben Thomas liked a review for The Cradle and the Sword
What an excellent read! Thomas’s world is rich in detail and pageantry. The characters are vibrant and the setting opulent. Add in the intrigue of royal succession and you have every reason to grab a copy of The Cradle and the Sword! This is top quality writing.

In a post-apocalyptic future, fractured timelines are wreaking havoc on the world. Only a tough, hard-drinking enforcer named Jack Trevayne can hold things together. This is gritty, hard-boiled sci-fi with attitude. The future is complicated. Jack is not.

Covered in flames stood a majestic castle with two beautiful towers reaching for the sky. Inside the east tower resided a woman of brunette curly hair, crying without consolation. On her back, deep sword’s cuts could be noticed to be fresh since blood was still falling to the other parts of her thin body. Sleeping quietly, a small baby rested on that woman arms. Feeli. . .

I'm already fascinated by "Sync City." The initial vibe I'm getting is sort of a combined tribute to "Judge Dredd" and "Looper." I'm always up for some gritty dystopian future action. Definitely check this one out!
