My name is Matthew Poat and I live in a small town in the UK called Towcester (pronounced Toaster). It’s about an hour and twenty minutes from London and 40 minutes from Oxford, if that helps you to place it. Basically, put a pin in the dead center of the UK and you won’t be too far from hitting my house.
I’d be interested in meeting up with other UK Inkshares authors (I know you are out there somewhere) to generally be a bit more social and feel more involved in the whole scene. Being tucked away on a cold, wet island can make you feel a bit removed from all the meetups that take place among authors over in the US.
To aide in this desire, I wondered whether Inkshares should put an optional location tag onto everyone’s profile page. That way, I could see who was near to me and DM them about a possible meetup? It would be a great way to move a portion of the great Inkshares community offline and into the real world.
