Hey, everybody. Been sitting, for a while now, at exactly half of the 750 pre-orders needed for the whole shebang. That's more than enough to qualify for the Quill light publishing option -- and that's the route I'm going to take -- but I'm still going to let the campaign run its course (wouldn't hurt to move a few more copies) and keep writing in the meantime.

Get ready for the inaugural Inkshares Review-a-Thon!

On December 19th, all authors and readers are invited to leave reviews on currently funding Inkshares books using the Inkshares "leave a review" option.

Throughout the day we'll be hanging out on Twitter in the#InksharesReviews tag as we share our favorite book projects, answer author Q&As, debate the merits of astronauts with swords versus cavemen with lasers, and more!

Then, from 6 - 8pm ET, JF Dubeau and Paul Inman of theWriteBrain Podcast will be hosting a video livestream filled with author interviews, review readings, and live announcements of prize winners!

    Apprentices and Masters, exciting things abound! We are all busy people so I'll keep it short and to the point via bullets:

    • Most importantly, the preliminary round of edits to the RUNE manuscript are nearly complete! お待たせ致しました! They should be done quite soon and we will then hit the next stage of edits followed by cover art and soon(ish) publication! Yay!

    • Sword and Laser is doing a "Sequel" contest with Inkshares!  Aspiring authors, this is your chance to get your science fiction or fantasy book published! The top 3 books with the most unique pre-orders will be published with special Sword and Laser marketing! Although RUNE did not utilize a contest to get published, had it not been for the Nerdist contest, I most likely would not have had the courage to crowdfund RUNE / bust my ass to get this awesome publishing deal.       Theres's this book I really like that only has 4 days left in its campaign to reach publication with Quill:



      I really want to see this published, guys! The story deals with complex issues of class and race and environmentalism, and the writing is really good. 

      Also, the lead character is a fierce warrior princess who rides a giant wolf. NEED I SAY MORE?

          Hey everyone. 

          I have a pretty big favor to ask of the community. Currently, my book is sitting pretty on 160 sales in total. I'm very happy with the response I've received, and all the support my readers have given me. Unfortunately, I'm still short of my goal, and with only five days left, I still need at least 90 unique sales. 

          I am going to be doing a major push locally for the rest of the week to garner as much support as I can, but I need the Inkshares/writing community to help me out. I have over 200 followers, but less than half of that in unique sales. If each person used their credits, or simply purchases a $10.00 e-book, I will be able to hit my goal before the deadline. 

          Please push the book or use any available credits to help me hit my goal before it's too late! Recommend the novel to whoever you can, and get the word out that it needs every sale I can get my grubby hands on. 

          The Amazon gift card contest is still going (you get an entry for each pre-order, so your $10.00 nets you a chance to win a $250.00 gift card on December 10th) so there's always the possibility of that prize to "sweeten the sale".

            Many things to be grateful for today - family, friends, relative prosperity... and some special developments related to FEYSIDE:
