Erin Butler sent an update for Farm Boy

Okay: put the sample chapters in the actual order they should be appearing to make it a bit more coherent for new readers.  A little minor editing to One (2), but otherwise all the same stuff.  For now.

The opening of One (3) should be coming up next week (probably Tuesday), and One (4) the week after.  Patterns are good for me - deadlines, specifically.

See you then!

In a post-apocalyptic future, fractured timelines are wreaking havoc on the world. Only a tough, hard-drinking enforcer named Jack Trevayne can hold things together. This is gritty, hard-boiled sci-fi with attitude. The future is complicated. Jack is not.

Something a little different today: I’m going to be posting an Idea a week (or so) for some of the other papery bits with writing on them that are running around here.  If one of those ideas catches you in the brain, click a ’follow’ on it and whatever looks most popular when I’ve finished Farm Boy is what I’ll get to work on next.

I will finish Farm Boy before hand, no worries there.  But these other ones are getting restless, so I figure to let them loose on the compound here to get some sunlight and exercise before sending them off to the vivisectionist.

    Huh.  That sounds oddly familiar...

      [Here’s the opening paragraph.]

It all started with a dog.

Well, no, I guess that’s not quite right. It’s me writing this, so I suppose it all started with me.

“I still want you to kill that girl.”

      That’s the dog.

        What up Fishes!

        (Your Hump Day humor)

We’ve been super busy here at POM central! Thanks to my amazing editors, POM has a really been coming along!

I’m also pleased to announce that my wonderful friend and artist, Sarah Montani, the inspiration for Lizzie, (whom you will meet this Friday-- Chapter 2 is coming!), has agreed to design a kick-ass cover for POM! I’m so excited to see what she’ll come up with.

I’m so fortunate that Sarah and I have remained friends since our teenage paleontology days in Montana.  I’m also fortunate that any acts of indecency or moments that should remain "in the Badlands" will always remain that way because she was a complicit accessory. And yes, I’ve destroyed all photographic evidence. At least I think I have...

A big THANK YOU to all who have pre-ordered the book!

If you haven’t pre-ordered yet, PLEASE DO!! Share, comment, and help me get this story out there!! Its been a joy to write, and I think anyone who loves dinosaurs, science, and geekdom with a touch of nerdiness  will love this story too!!

Have to love anyone who can say they have "[...]friends since our teenage paleontology days in Montana."

I may well steal that for introductions between people I barely know in real life.  8-)
