Great discussion, on a similar note  a friend who is a psychologist once pointed out that success is very contagious. If your closest circle of friends include two or three people who have enjoyed significant success chances are you will enjoy success too. This is because it makes logical sense that you should continue this trend which keeps your inner doubts at bay.  You might enjoy reading The Chimp Paradox by Dr.Steve Peters which deals with this topic in a very insightful manner.

I’ve learned something very valuable while going on this writing journey and I’ll share it here.

The mind can’t tell the difference between the things we observe and the stories we tell ourselves. Not only in our stories, in our minds, there is a narrative and it drives the decisions we make. We control it and we often don’t realize it is there. It is. By practicing mindfulness and believing that your goals are reachable, they become so.

Has anyone else discovered that your future writing career is directly related to your mood? Have just come out of a rut, and you simply give up even trying. But when you get through the tough times, and your mood lifts, you feel that getting published is not impossible, and that it’s really going to happen.
