You have to email Inkshares directly - hello (at) inkshares.com is probably best to try first.

Yo Cara! ;) Do you know how to move the project back to Draft? I don’t see a button to do that.

Yeah, definitely switch it up. You will have time to finish after your campaign! If you think your campaign will be stronger with a finished manuscript, then maybe moving back to draft stage is best.

And you can call me Cara. :)

Thanks A.C.  You kinda touched on one of my conundrums. I haven’t been campaigning much at all because I’ve been worried about finishing the book. Maybe I should switch up that strategy and go full tilt campaigner. Or maybe suspend and worry about finishing the manuscript...

I think most people run their campaigns before they finish their manuscript. It’s very normal, but definitely not ideal.

I tried to continue writing throughout my campaign, but it was just way too stressful. I’d recommend at least putting your writing on hold (or at least greatly reducing your expectations) while you campaign. There’s just too much to do. I’m absolutely going to be finished with my next manuscript before I run my next campaign.

Inkshares doesn’t give a hard deadline for manuscript delivery after you finish. I think you can take as long as you need within reason. What is reasonable? I have no idea. Five years? Two years? I don’t know. But they want it to be perfect as much as you do!

I have an active Inkshares project. Take a looky loo here:

I’m still in my first draft of this book and making great progress but I have a few questions:
Is it completely nuts that I am doing this while still on my first draft? Say my campaign is successfully funded, when am I expected to deliver a finished manuscript?

I want this booger to be PERFECTO before it is released in the wild.
