If a backer has pre-ordered 1 copy, and then later returns and orders 2 more, will the backer automatically be re-classified as a super-reader?

Will the author receive notification indicating a new super-reader?

I ask because I have plans for which, after a certain announcement, I will need to specifically track new super-readers.
