Just wanted to report that I’ve also had a few buyers with this issue in the last couple weeks. It seems to be taking a couple of tries for an order to actually go through.
Are there any updates? It’s been more than 2 weeks and the order process is still a poor experience for people on mobile devices. Many people think they have purchased because they never see the final "confirm" button. Is there a target date for when this will be fixed? I suspect Inkshares is missing out on 3-4% of all orders as a result of this. I would think it would be a high priority.
Thank you all for the input, especially you @Z.Z. Traver. We are currently working on a fix. I will post an update to this forum post when it is complete.
Hey guys, I’ve raised this with Adam and Thad. I think this may be a UI issue as the transactions show up as invalid if users don’t click CONFIRM on the final ordering screen.
Here’s what one of my buyers reported when attempting to purchase:
Found the issue too. The “confirm” button is half covered by a banner at the bottom of the screen on mobile devices, so what looks like a confirmed purchase is in fact just the confirmation page.
To me this is at the very least a usability issue. I suspect more buyers these days are using mobile devices and not getting to the finish.
OK, I’ve had another report of someone who says they thought they ordered and never got an email confirmation and never showed up on my list. Seems like this could be a regular issue. Now I have to ask him to re-order.
A friend of mine tried to order a book, got to a confirmation page, but the order didn’t go through. I had to ask him to reorder a second time. Obviously many people are able to place orders successfully, but it seems there is at least one path that is faulty and causes the book not to be purchased. Has anyone else heard reports of this? Who inside of Inkshares can I share more details with?
I hate having to go back to people who thought they had ordered and ask them to do it a second time.
