I love the "From Curosity to Fear" theme. The story I’m thinking of contributing follows that pattern very well.

But if there was a zombie private eye, that’d be cool.

Maybe if we have a puzzle/investigation element, then it fits a broad range from mystery to horror.

@RF Martin Okay, I added "thriller" to the range. I kind of figure that horror fits under the heading of suspense/thriller ... kind of? I mean, slasher stories are fine ("And Then There Were None" is classed as a mystery even though it’s technically a literary slasher flick) and Lovecraftian horror is fine (it usually involves an investigative element) but I’m not sure I’m comfortable putting my whodunnits beside a zombie apocalypse story.

In a way, I guess we’re really handling stories on the emotional range between curiosity and fear, Maybe that’s what we should call it: "From Curiosity to Fear", and order our stories that way.

Thanks for starting this @Christopher Huang . Do you think we should broaden the genre range a bit? My work is mostly thriller into horror and there are a lot of good writers in that genre on Inkshares.

This was really @RF Martin ’s idea over on the Thriller Night Syndicate. Would people be interested in contributing short stories to a crime fiction anthology?
