Oh - there is a brilliant break-down and discussion of this over in the scribophile forums: http://www.scribophile.com/forums/writing/21040

(I realise I seem to be having a forum conversation with my self, but I figure this may be useful to others, and eventually someone else will join in :) )

I’m planning on entering the new contest (Launchpad). My current re-write has covered more than enough content - I just need to tighten it up. However, the entry requires the manuscript include a 1 page synopsis.

So, being an amateur, my question is  -  for the purposes of this competition, I’m assuming that there is a standard expectation for what a professional manuscript synopsis includes. Some quick google searches have landed me on some advice articles for what an agent would expect in a synopsis:

I’m wondering if anyone has any tips or suggestions they would like to share with the community about a well structured synopsis?
