You can extend, or end, your campaign whenever you want to. You just have to email hello(at)inkshares.com and make your request. Your book flips to "in production" after funding ends if you’ve reached at least 250 orders, but officially signing onto the Quill imprint (or fulls Inkshares at 750+) comes a little later, after Inkshares emails and invites you.

You transition from ’Funding’ to ’In Production’ after your campaign ends. I don’t think it has anything to do with how many preorders you have, at least based on what I’ve seen of past campaigns.

If I were to run the campaign for 6 months but reached the 750 goal in 4 months would the publishing process start as soon as the goal was meet or at the end of the 6 months?

I have put 365 days, so a year at least.

Did you ever find an answer to this question? I’d like to know what the total range is? 90 days to a year or is 6 months the longest? Is 90 days the shortest?

Thanks, I hope that’s still true. If it’s only 90 days, I’d wait quite a bit longer before starting my campaign--at least until I have a Facebook fan page set up and all my little duckies in a row. If I have carte blanche, I’d take a much longer campaign period and start ... hm ... early March.

It’s been a while since I set one, but when I did it offered a suggested timeframe, but you could change it to a value that works for you.

Are we able to choose the length of our funding periods? Usually I see people start out with 90 days, but I’ve also seen some projects with more than that to go.
