Hi I recently created a profile and uploaded several chapters but when I came back to edit I cannot find where to click on to edit m project further. I did JUST start a few days ago.

@Mike Donald

Did you have to reenter all the edits to the text itself (spacing, plot, etc.) each time you changed the work?

I have had the same editing problems, sometimes the changes don’t take despite saving, done and all the usual methods.  I must have changed Lightening to Lightning about 5 times until it eventually saved. I think it’s just a glitch.

It would be great for Inkshares to display a list of all uploads/chapters at the very top of the page, and that this list be able to be easily reordered.

When a visitor arrives to this page, the first chapter in the order should be the one displayed.

Hello!

Does anyone know if it’s possible to move chapters that you’ve posted to different spots in the reading order? I recently checked my draft, and found an entire section missing--despite clearly remembering it being posted--and now can’t move it from the bottom of the reading order to it’s proper place in the draft.

Hi @Kirsty L Jennings ,

Can you send me the link of the chapter you are having trouble with?  My email is thad (at) inkshares.com

Thanks!

Thank you for replying, it may sound silly but it just doesn’t want to save what I’ve changed onto it no matter how many different ways I try to do it. It may just be my laptop, somehow, but thank you again for replying.

Sure. Here’s the process I’ve been using; is it the same as what you’ve been doing?

1) Get to the "edit chapter" page. There are two ways to do this: a) go to the chapter page as though you were going the to read the whole chapter, and click on the word "Edit" up at the top right of the screen, where it says "Send to readers / Edit"; or b) go to the project page for the book, click on the word "Edit" up at the top right of the screen, where it says "Sell pre-orders / Edit", then click on the little "edit" icon at the bottom of the chapter you want to edit (the first chapter will have icons for "upload", "edit", and "delete", whereas subsequent chapters will also have "feature" in addition to those three.)

2) Do your edits. The text should be in a box bound by a yellow border, and any reader comments made to the text should not be there.

3) Click "Save", up at the top right of the screen where the "Edit" button used to be.

4) I think you can just navigate away from the page now, and the changes should stick; but to do this properly it would be best to click "Done", next to the "Save" button. This will take you to the "edit project" page for the book itself. Again, you can probably just navigate away now (that’s what I do) but you can also click the "Save" button for the project, and that will take you back to the project page for the book.

Hi, after several failed attempts at editing my work, I can’t seem to edit any of my chapters on this site. Can someone help?
