I love that kind of thing!  I wrote a book called Be Ye Therefore Wise as Serpents about many different religious and mythological topics.  You can see it on my author site www.cjauthor.com .

Anyway, time travel is an interesting concept and I’d love to know how you will address the issue of the paradoxes.  Take the Grandfather Paradox.  It states that if you went back in time to kill your grandfather, then you would never be born.  If you were never born, you wouldn’t exist to create a device to travel through time to kill your grandfather.  If you never existed to create a device to travel through time to kill your grandfather, then your grandfather would live to have your father who would have you, therefore you WOULD exist, which then means you would exist to be able to create a time travel device to go back and kill your grandfather - ad infinitum.

Time travel, to me, is more possible when viewed through the lens of alternate timelines because the paradoxes don’t seem to be breakable.

LOL! There are a few who aren’t exactly thrilled with my topic but I wouldn’t exactly call them religious rights. But for the most part it has been good.

If you end up being the center of a witchhunt by the religious right, take it as a complement.

Rebekka, I don’t think the religious groups pay much attention to what’s online.  My books  have demons, mythology, Christendom, angels, saints, immortals all in one book and no one have said anything. Yeah, a few mentioned they it but besides those few most people seem to like it. So I think as long as you don’t write as a religious philosophic piece you will be ok.

Thanks, Kevin. I love that sort of spin on philosophy and religion too. But, I’m a little worried when I start to incorporate the monotheistic religions, I’m going to be the center of a witchhunt by the religious right.

Just took a look at your book Rebekka and I really like the concept.  Anything that points at theological history and explains it in new light wins points in my book.

OOOoooOOOh. I’m writing about soul science, but mine has to do with immortality. I feel like we should collaborate.

I’m planning on opening my book up for preorders and trying to grab those who haven’t heard about it.  It’s a science fiction novel set in the future when science has discovered the soul and invented time travel.  The discovery has led to the ability to save people’s lives in the past and thus create a split in their soul.  I invite any comments either here or on the book’s page.
