Hi @J. L. Maynor! I would highly recommend checking out canva.com. They specifically dabble in assisting with the creation of cover art. It helps set up dimensions and has a lot of stock photos and fonts to choose from. Obviously it doesn’t have the hundreds of editing options you could get out of Photoshop, but it sets you up with all the tools you need to put together something eye-catching. Give it a try and see what you think.

That is a very good point, and something I need to figure out then lol.. Might have to take a Dab in Photoshop or something for the time being then.. Thanks!

I think cover design is mentioned as part of the publication package when you make your funding, but I would advise putting a custom cover on your book all the same. It doesn’t have to be exceptionally beautiful: it’s only temporary, after all. The thing is, a custom cover tells me (I don’t know about everyone else; this is just me) that the author is serious about going forward with their work. I’m more likely to take something seriously if I think the author has plans to carry something through to the finish.

I was wondering, if creating Cover Art, or any art what-so-ever in relation to the book is covered by the Design part of the Project, or is that something we, as authors, have to figure out ? I can write but I cant draw hahah
