I wonder how that happened.

Yes, I can see all of them.

@John Robin Wait, you’re still seeing all the people you pitched who didn’t follow? I lost all of mine!

I just went through several people on the list that shows up on my dashboard by clicking on "prospects", of which there are 4400 people or so. I noticed it’s a mixture of people I’ve pitched to, and people who I haven’t. I appears that all those people who I haven’t pitched to in the past I’m able to direct message, while people who I’ve pitched to I can’t. I suspect if I went through this list more thoroughly I’d find some people who I’ve pitched to I can direct message -- that must be the people who follow me and/or follow the book. Thanks for pointing me there!

Back when I was still in drafts, the dashboard showed a) a random sampling of people I could pitch to, b) anyone I did pitch to, and c) anyone who followed the book. This was back when we could still do cold pitches, of course. For a while, it was still the same after I went to pre-orders.

Then they got rid of the cold pitches in favour of direct messaging, and now my dashboard only shows a) people who are following me, and b) people who are following my book. Some do both, and there’s no telling which is which. I’ve cold-pitched to a LOT more people than I’m seeing, but cold-pitches no longer exist.

What it does mean, though, is that each person on your dashboard is now someone to whom you can send a Direct Message or an email. Looking at the dashboard for one of my draft projects, I see a bunch of people who I know are following me; supposedly there are also some random "top readers" thrown in; I can’t tell which are which, but I know I can connect with all of them.

Thanks @Christopher Huang ! Does the dashboard actually display people who have followed me / the book? Or is that just people who we’ve pitched + who have ordered the book? Is there a way to differentiate?

I wonder if there’s a way to get access to the list of followers / book followers beyond this. It’s great if you have those emails, but if you don’t it’s impossible to know who all you have available to connect with.

Okay the random tag of my name left me very confused :)

Yes, I’ve noticed it too. It’s probably truncated for space, given that the thing shows up in a popup. Personally, I just kept every single email notification telling me my book has a new follower ... every single one. Except for @Brian Guthrie : I think I accidentally deleted that email. (Maybe one day I will share the excel spreadsheet where I’m keeping track of all my data.)

I’m guessing that they think the dashboard covers all your follower-tracking needs. It sort of does, but it would be nice to differentiate between those who are following you but not your book and those who are following your book but not you. My book lost a follower this morning, but I can only guess who (looks like someone rebooted their account) by matching my dashboard against my spreadsheet.

I am running into a problem on my project page and I’m wondering if this is something others notice or if there is a way around it. I want to view the complete list of people who follow my book. I have nearly 500 followers for Blood Dawn. However, the list that displays on my project page is only 190 users long. Is there a reason this is truncated? Is there somewhere else I can get a complete view of this list?
