What I did was asked around social media, helped out in the forums, commented tips on other people’s books, and asked people for advice. Being active is a great way to draw attention and get people’s curiosity.

You can follow your own book, so that gives you one. I’ll follow your profile link and give you a follow, but most people can find at least one person they know willing to sign up and follow.

Pretty much randomly follow other authors and readers, give recommendations on other people’s books, and of course bring in people from your own networks to buy your book. Good luck!

How would anyone like myself (a total newbie) get 2 or more followers without first having a project to share in the first place?  No one would ever find me unless I randomly followed a few dozen other folks in hopes they’d return the favour.  I understand the rationale...but it’s a Catch-22 in a sense.  Maybe a check-mark box to indicate it’s a ’test’ so it wouldn’t be included in search?  Not sure folks would abide by that though - we all want to see our project listed.

At any rate....I need 2 followers!  Any takers??

I think Inshares is a great concept....glad to have found yas.

Hi Everyone,

Apologies for the confusion here. Stories are added to search when they receive two or more followers.  The rationale behind this constraint is that search functions much more efficiently when many ’test’ projects are filtered out.

I’m working on a feature to make these types of constraints more transparent when creating a new story.

Hope this helps!

That’s strange. I would raise a query with @Thad Woodman to see why it isn’t showing up. Just email the inkshares contact email address (hello@inkshares.com) and they’ll check it out when they’re able to.

Yeah, that’s what I get. Even when I search by my name it doesn’t come up :/

When I type "little mouse" into the search page, "Quinto" is the first book that comes up, which is pretty ridiculous. I don’t know what’s wrong with the search function.

I have had the same problem. Some people who’ve searched my book The Burned (check it out) have found it and some haven’t. What I do is I just link to my book directly or I recommend searching it word for word on Google and it should come up.

Hi, there!I have started a new project (Little Mouse and the Moon) but it’s been a couple of days and I still don’t see it when I search for it or type my name into the search. Does it take some time to appear? Thanks :)
