I really dig #3.  I find woods shrouded in fog intensely creepy, whereas the beetle doesn't seem creepy or sinister at all.

#2.  #1 of the forest options.  Maybe a forest of beetles?

I definitely prefer the Beetle cover. The forest makes me think the story will be about ghosts and hauntings, which I usually don't enjoy.

#2 for me.  Can't go wrong with a Beetle.  Unless you're Pete Best.  Anyway, I like the color scheme.  And I'm not a fan of the "forest" artwork; it reminds me of the opening of every "Once Upon A Time" episode.

I would vote for #2.  The image of the beetle, combined with the cover text, gives you an idea of something sinister and creepy going on within the book, and uses imagery I don't already associate with something else.  #1 is the nicest looking image, but I feel like if I were to look through my bookshelf right now I'd find a handful of books with nearly identical covers.  #2 is the most distinctive image.

#2. The beetle all the way! –The Forest artwork is cool, but it‘s to ambiguous. The beetle makes me want to read and find out more. (nice touch by Jason combining the two styles into one)

Beetle cover wins in my book. But, if I had to pick a runner up it would be #1.

I'm digging the beetle - just the right amount of creepy and intrigue.

Agreeing with the #1 comments here, Gary.
