With the amazing support you splendiferous people have generated, Leaf Falling is sitting at number 10 in the listings (by number of orders and followers), which means it shows up on the "Leaderboard" for anyone who clicks on the contest link. This is a huge accomplishment, and I can’t thank you enough for helping get it there. It’s going to be a challenge to keep it up there, so keep up the excellent work of spreading the word! You are all spectacular humans.

Chapter three, and now it starts. Leaf, with all the skills of the Artfull Dodger and abstract voices of Frodo, has been well enough developed in character to be a prize for someone wanting something utherwise unattainable without her. The period, setting, dress, and lead character development are clear such that the reader finds himself/herself drawn into the heroine’s current plight. A good beginning in just three chapters, and a decent read in the twilight of pre-bed solitude.

I’ve added a flashback chapter. These will be spaced through the novel (though their placement is still a bit fluid), giving us some insight into Leaf’s background. I’m hoping these enhance and deepen Leaf’s story; what do you all think?

As a note to those interested, the manuscript of the novel is complete and is undergoing final editing as we... type. So a completed novel is already guaranteed!
