Greetings Destiny-followers,

The complete chapter one of Destiny Imperfect is now up and running. Check it out and let me know what you think. If you like it, it’d be great if you could pre-order.

Cheers,

Peter

Greetings Destiny-followers,

We’ve reached 100 readers! Thanks to everyone for jumping on board and helping to make this book a reality. I couldn’t do it without you.

Right now, Destiny Imperfect is currently in fourth position and I could do with your help. For this book to be successful, it needs to be in the top three and time is ticking away! No top three, no Destiny :-( If you are following Destiny Imperfect and haven’t pre-ordered, I’d love it if you could. If you have pre-ordered (thanks again!), try and think of someone who would also enjoy the Destiny Imperfect experience and suggest to them (politely) that now would be a great time to jump in and support it!

Have a great weekend!

Cheers,

Peter

@Peter Ryan Glad you enjoyed RUNE! Looking forward to reading Destiny Imperfect AND Sync City!

Greeting Destiny-followers,

Back from Thailand where I did a lot more reading than writing. And what a pleasure that was. There really are some good books in Inkshares-land. I mentioned a few previously, but I’ll do it again given I can now link across. In no particular order:

Rune of the Apprentice by @Jamison Stone - I motored through this. A captivating story by an author who knows how to write an action scene! (you can order and read now)

An Unattractive Vampire by  @Jim McDoniel  -  Urban vampires meet the real thing! A wonderful interpretation of the modern vampire myth. (you can order and read now)

An Adventure with Dada by  @Michael Haase - I’m having a blast with this. Well worth getting. (in pre-order right now – throw Mike some support)

How to Get Run Over by a Truck by @Katie C. McKenna – this makes you laugh, cry and shake your head all at the same time. If you want to put your life in perspective, this is a must read. (you can order and read now)

And on to me! Destiny Imperfect is having a jolly good battle to remain in the top three. I could really use your support. To show how sci-fi influences the real world, I’ve included a picture from the recent wedding I went to. I’m the one with the Klingon Baldric (sash) – and no, it wasn’t a theme wedding … unfortunately! Don’t forget to pre-order and share the Destiny Imperfect love!

 Cheers,

Peter

Greetings Destiny-followers,

One of the joys of taking a vacation is a chance to read the stuff  I had previously ordered on Inkshares. And here are three I would absolutely recommend!

An Unattractive Vampire by @jimmcdoniel - a tremendous take on the modern-day vampire story (available now).

Rune of the Apprentice by @jamisonstone - an awesome, rollocking fantasy (available now).

An Adventure with Dada by @michaelhaase - a hilarious read and somewhat at the ribald end of the spectrum (pre-order at this stage, I’m reading an advance copy).

Apologies for not linking through with the above books, but the phone is proving difficult to deal with!

I’m also still in the hunt for a top three position with Destiny Imperfect (sitting third with fourth hot on my heels!) and could do with a boost if you feel like jumping on board.

Have a good one and check out those books!

Cheers,

Peter

Greetings Destiny-followers,

Destiny Imperfect is taking time out from its hectic Thailand best man duties and wishes to thank you all for the support over the last few days. Firstly, we are at 97 readers (101 pre-orders – yay!). It would be absolutely fantastic to crack the 100 readers as soon as possible. So if you’re in the position to do so, a pre-order would be great!

Destiny Imperfect would also like to give an enormous thanks to Evan Graham and his awesome book Tantalus Depths! Evan dug deep and did some heavy duty referring for Destiny. You are the man, Mr. Graham! If you haven’t ordered Tantalus Depths, get on over there and get an order in.

I’d also like to give a shout out to a couple of my competitors in the Inkshares/Nerdist contest. There’s only room for two of us in the top three (first having long since ridden off into the sunset), but if these two kick my butt, then we’re in for a treat. Alisa King’s Are You Sure You Want to Quit is making Destiny’s life tough at the top. And why not? It looks like a gem – check it out and pre-order. And an early favorite of Destiny’s, Matthew Poat’s Squids In, is also worth pre-ordering.

Anyway, thank you all very much! Let’s get out there and try to hit the hundred reader mark! Destiny Imperfect will do its best to lend all the support it can! Right after this next beer …

Cheers,

Peter

Greetings Destiny-followers,

When the going gets tough, the tough go to Thailand. The top of the contest leader board is sure getting crowded. Despite this pressure, Destiny Imperfect has a hot date with a cold beer on a tropical island beach! But why run? Stay and fight, Destiny Imperfect, I hear you implore. Destiny Imperfect is no slacker, but Destiny Imperfect is also a book of its word. And Destiny Imperfect is to be ‘best man’ at a most excellent friend’s wedding. And, as mentioned, the prospect of cold beer is not at all unappealing.

So what am I going to do while I am temporarily internet-lite? Well I’m going to toss you all the keys to the hot rod and see where you can drive this baby! Friends, family - get them all on board (it’s a trans dimensional hot rod) and have them pre-order. If you’re following and haven’t pre-ordered yet, come on in, the water’s fine! It would be fantastic to see the book still hovering around the top 3 by the time I return; hungover, sunburned and jetlagged (not everything about tropical islands is glamorous). Follow the link and share the love!

Cheers,

Peter

With the soon to be hit of Sync City already under @Peter Ryan ’s belt, I have the utmost faith that Destiny Imperfect will awe and amaze! Looking forward to this one!

Greetings Destiny-followers,

I just got my first podcast mention! JF Dubeau and Paul Inman of WriteBrain fame have a chat about the Inkshares/Nerdist contest in general, their awesome book in particular (one that I have pre-ordered), as well as giving honorable mentions to Destiny Imperfect and another top read (and my closet competitor), SideScroller (a book I have also pre-ordered). Go and have a listen to their podcast!

And, if you haven’t already, take a look at Destiny Imperfect and see if it’s something you could pre-order. I could do with the help!

Cheers,

Peter

Greetings Destiny-followers,

Thanks so much for your excellent support. I awoke this morning (Seoul time) to see a pack of excellent writers nipping at the heels of Destiny Imperfect (third place is only two away). It would be tremendous if we could put some daylight between us and them. If you’re following Destiny Imperfect but have yet to hit the pre-order button, I’d love it if you could check it out again and consider doing so. If you have already pre-ordered Destiny Imperfect, grab your nearest and dearest and explain to them the critical nature of a video game-based book and its significance within the wider framework of reality. And then get them to pre-order! The contest has a long way to go and I could do with your help!

Have a great weekend.

Cheers,

Peter
