Okay, the first draft of "Janusia" is up. It’s probably the geekiest bit of thinking that I ever dared put down on paper. Ha! - I do hope you  enjoy!

A special thank you to everyone who has supported Mission 51 and me with pre-orders. I have reached my first goal of 25, but still have a long way to go! I would appreciate any help I could get!

I’m especially grateful for the kind comments I have personally received. It energizes me to write more!

I am also grateful for the beautiful community I have discovered here on Inkshares. The authors and readers are so mutually supportive!

So, to update you on the progress, I am working on three chapters at the same time, and am nearly finished with Janusia. I decided since this is a Space Opera, I better get back to that part of the storyline!

Stay tuned!

Peace!

"The Crash" has been well-received! I have gotten several compliments on the characters, to my unexpected and very happy surprise. For me, creating and developing characters is the scariest part of writing Mission 51, as it is the first time I undertake this sort of writing.

In "The Crash," Juan and Juanito are Mexican migrant farmworkers, working the fields of southern Nevada through the Bracero Program in the mid-1950’s. Juanito in particular will have an important role in the story.

I’m getting a real kick out of re-writing history. LOL  (I like my version better!)

Well, I intended to upload the next chapter of Mission 51, a chapter all about the protagonist, Mat.

BUT, the muse jerked me in a different direction! I woke up this morning with lots of ideas about what will be the first chapter of the third part of the book. The chapter is called The Crash. It is a pivotal point in Mat’s story. So I have uploaded The Crash for you instead.

I truly hope you enjoy!

Peace!

Mat’s character is coming into focus. It’s fun writing about the star of the show! A big part of the fun is building the world around him.

Writing a character, with a unique personality, with strengths and weaknesses, with motivations and dreams, is something new to me. I’m enjoying the hell out of it!

I should have the chapter ready in a few days. Stay tuned!

Peace!

Mission 51 continues with "The Press Conference." Follow Mat’s story, as told to Dr. Linda Deltare (brilliant scholar or Paranoid Schizophrenic?).

In "The Press Conference," we see that Petrus has manipulated Tran into cooperating and supporting the mission.

"The Press Conference" also introduces Mat, who will play prominently in the next chapter, aptly titled "Mat."  LOL

Thanks for following Mission 51!

Mission 51 begins with "Petrus and Tran," which I have uploaded for your consumption. I hope you like!

And thank you all for your readership and your support. I am loving the camaraderie on Inkshares! :-)

I just updated everyone with the Preface to Mission 51. It complements the Foreword. The coolest part for me was writing myself into the story. I didn’t exactly envision that when I was first plotting out the story. Ha!

Let me know what you think.

Woohoo! I have enough pre-orders to start seeing the green color in the purchase status bar!  :D

I just uploaded the Foreword to Mission 51, "written" by Dr. Henry/Deltare. I intended it to sound technical, like what an old academic might write. But is it too boring?

I also wanted it to raise more questions than answers, yet to heavily hint at what’s to come. Did I accomplish this?

What is your favorite part of the Foreword?
