Hi everyone, hope you’re doing well!

Pre-orders are rolling in! I’m very happy and very thankful for all of you and all of your help! We’ve hit 14% of our Quill goal and 4% of the full-publishing goal (thank you inkshares for that stat!)

I’ve got some revising to get back to, I planned on getting some done yesterday but after the one-two punch of Star Wars arriving on blu ray and the launch/Twitter takeover of Asteroid Made of Dragons by G. Derek Adams, I slowed a bit!

We’ve still got a long way to go and a long time to get there. The good news is I love writing and I love this book, so it’s all very much worth it!

Sadly I don’t have any sketches to show you today. Bummer.

I’ll be looking to upload more from FRIDAY EVENING soon. Maybe when we hit 50 pre-orders that will be a good time for that.

As always please spread the word of Cape’s Side Bay!  And if you haven’t pre-ordered your copy yet but want to, you can do so here.

Enjoy the rest of your day,

James

It’s Monday!

Last week at this time I sent out an update saying Cape’s Side Bay would launch Pre-Sales at the end of the week. And now, one week later, I’m ecstatic! 31 pre-orders in 3 days, that exceeded my expectations! Thank you to everyone who pre-ordered their copy, and thank you for believing in me and in Cape’s Side Bay. If you haven’t had a chance to do so yet please pre-order! Whales depend on it. Not really, but I’m sure something other than my sanity depends on it!

I spent the weekend working, spending time with family, and revising the manuscript. I love where it’s at. It needs some tweaking here and there but as a whole I really believe in Cape’s Side Bay and cannot wait for you all to read it.

I hope you like the new water colour book cover sketched and painted by a good friend of mine.

Once again a big thank you all who have pre-ordered, thank you to those who have shared and recommended, and thank you to all of you who are going to pre-order! It certainly means a lot to a big kid with an even bigger imagination.

Have a great day!

James

As always you can follow be on Twitter & Facebook!

Hello Cape’s Side Bay followers!

Well here we are, Friday April 1st, 2016 and the official launch of pre-orders for Cape’s Side Bay!

I hope you’ve enjoyed what you’ve read enough to put your faith in the rest of the story and support the book.

So.... all that out of the way I have another sketch! This one is a personal favorite of mine. My friend once again sketched this. Now, I will not explain to you what exactly it is, but I hope you like it. It’s definitely from the book!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! And please help spread the word that is CAPE’S SIDE BAY!

Thank you all very much!

James

Well it’s Thursday, and with that comes another update from yours truly.

As promised yesterday FRIDAY EVENING has been posted. Before you read I just want to let you know that this is not the entire chapter, this is a set-up. It’s still in draft form and may change, but what you will read in this chapter is a bit of a backstory on Bruce Archer and a creature he once encountered while visiting Cape’s Side Bay. The piece does not end on a cliffhanger so much, but gives you an idea (a small one) of what the people of Hillsbury and Cape’s Side Bay are up against (Some of you may have noticed a new cover design. It will make more sense after reading Friday Evening).

Once the pre-order launch is in full swing I will post the rest of the chapter.

This opening to Friday Evening was one I really enjoyed writing. I wanted to go back in time for a little while and explain that there has always  been something strange going on in Cape’s Side Bay, it’s just been in hiding all this time.

Here’s another picture sketched out by my friend. This is of Victor and his son while teaching him to hunt in Friday Afternoon.

Look for pre-orders of Cape’s Side tomorrow evening!

As always please help spread the word (and a BIG thank you to those who have), and please comment and let’s engage in a discussion about Cape’s Side Bay

Enjoy your Thursday!

James

Hello once again everyone! Hope you’re enjoying your week so far (halfway there!). Once again I wanted to thank you all for your comments and concerns, and overall support for me and Cape’s Side Bay. As I said yesterday the pre-order launch will begin at the end of the week and a new chapter will be uploaded.

The new chapter will be uploaded tomorrow!

In the meantime here’s a sketch a friend of mine did of Head Park Ranger Henry Carter:

I will check back in with the new uploaded chapter tomorrow!

Have a great day and as always please help spread the word of Cape’s Side Bay!

James

Let’s try this again! Greetings all! Thank you to those who have commented and shared your thoughts regarding Cape’s Side. I appreciate all your feedback. I read the Reddit article and it freaked me out! Ha ha. I also checked out the Gracepoint TV series, it looked interesting!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy what you’ve been reading so far, and hope you like where it’s heading (I also hope you’re not entirely sure where exactly it IS heading!). As I said, I plan to launch pre sales in April, and have been working tirelessly tightening the manuscript up. I’m very happy with the story. I can’t wait for you all to read it.

As the launch date gets closer I’ll be posting one more from the book.

You can follow me on Twitter: PezzaFina
And on Facebook: Cape’s Side Bay

Until next time!

Hi James, I like the feel of that story already. Hope it’s coming along nicely.
It just happens to hit very close to something I have been reading avidly not long ago. It’s the account of a search and rescue forester in the US talking about his job. From gruesome to weird via bone chilling it is all there. Might be you’d like to check it out. It’s a reddit post you can see part 1 here: https://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/comments/3iex1h/im_a_search_and_rescue_officer_for_the_us_forest/

Best of luck

Writing, Writing, Rewriting and Editing have been my focus this week! I have to say things are really beginning to come together with Cape’s Side. I’ve been really appreciating the support and feedback I’ve been receiving, so thank you for that.
I think the timing is right and Ive decided to launch Cape’s Side Bay in April. I have some more touches I want to add to the manuscript before I go live, but that’s the goal. I will update with my launch date when it’s confirmed!
Until next time, James

Just a quick update. Today I completed the first draft of the manuscript. It ended at 99,851 words, my goal was somewhere between 95,000 and 100,000 so I am happy to say I hit my target! I’ll spend most of my free time next week revising and editing. Look for new versions of the chapters that have already been uploaded soon and the possibility of a fourth shortly!  Again, thanks for following, I look forward to your feedback.
