Hello! The long campaign is coming to a close--just 28 days left. I am back in the US again and will be able to actively promote the project once more, but I need your help. Illegal has already surpassed the minimum funding goal and will be published but it still has a long way to go to reach the maximum goal of 750 orders (we sit at 426 as of this writing). The full goal will mean better editing and wider exposure. My ultimate goal, my dream, is to get the best version of this into as many hands as possible. Another 324 orders in less than a month is very ambitious but it is possible. Buy another copy for a friend, share on social media, anything to help me climb this mountain.  I’m doing the last major self-edit to the project this week and will share another sample once we pass 500 orders. 

Thank you, everyone, who has helped me get this far. The vast majority of books here never meet the minimum requirement and never get published and it warms me to have already gotten so much support to get this story out into the world. Onward!

We did it! We passed 250 pre-orders over the weekend which means Illegal will be published. However, the real goal is 750 pre-orders which would give a much deeper professional edit and a more ambitious marketing campaign. I want Illegal to be as good as it can be and reach as many readers as possible so please help me continue to push toward that.

I’ve also uploaded another sample chapter, Without Me. This is the first chapter of the book—please take a look and share. I’ll add a third sample chapter when we hit 500 pre-orders.

I’ll be living in Laos for the next few months with sporadic internet connectivity so I anticipate a slower pace for awhile before a grand, final push. Thank you everyone who has helped thus far. Onward!

I only stumbled upon Inkshares last month but I dove right in. And I'm so glad that I did. Besides being a really innovative model that can help democratize book publishing, there's an active and growing community and a very responsive staff. It's been a month and I'm happy with where we are. We are WAY ahead of schedule to hit all the milestones and bring ILLEGAL into the world! Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me thus far. It makes me warm every time I see a new pre-order come through.

That said, I also moved to Laos this week and that will surely affect how much and how effectively I can continue to promote pre-orders. I've got some ideas though and some sources still to be tapped. And, of course, there is you. If you have a friend that may be interested please help them pre-order today. Every order brings me closer to my goal and publication. After we hit 250 pre-orders I'll add another sample chapter.
