It’s 20 days into the competition, so I thought I’d send out an update!

There are now three chapters posted for your consumption. Please give them a read if you haven’t already - here are the individual links:

As far as the contest goes, Seven Shards has been steadily maintaining its spot in the top 50, which is phenomenal! YOU made that happen, so thank you! Thank you a million times over!

The strange thing about being in the top fifty is that it’s kind of in a grey area. There’s a long way to go to get to the top ten, yet it’s way too close not to try.

In pursuit of that goal, I’d like to ask each of you to give me yet another hand. Making posts on Facebook and shouting to the Twitter-verse only goes so far. The best way to get support is one-to-one. So I’m asking each of to find one other person (a housemate, a good friend, someone you know loves to read) and ask them to place a pre-order too.

Every single pre-order counts, and gaining more of them is the way this contest works. If each of you can bring one other person on board that would land Seven Shards in the top 25. If you each brought 2 or 3, well lookout top ten! We’d be knocking at their door! Your efforts can sway the fate of this project more drastically than you may realize. Please give it a shot!

One last nugget I’d like to share is the number 50. When we reach 50 pre-orders a new chapter will be posted. And when I reach the 50 thousand words mark I'll post a new chapter too. Things are looking close for both, so be on the lookout for two more chapters soon!

Thank you all again! And enjoy your weekend!

THANK YOU to everyone who has shown their support for my novel. Every word of encouragement, every share, every follow; it all means so much to me. Yesterday we hit 25 pre-orders, which means it's time for me to share a new chapter with you. Please enjoy Mourning to Morning!

I promised big news today and it's time to deliver!

Fellow Inkshares author, John Robin (https://www.inkshares.com/john-robin) has a wonderful blog about epic fantasy where he blogs about his writing, the writing process, and world building, and has interviewed me for his World Builders series. It's a great read for both writers and fans of fantasy alike.

Week One Update:

It's the end of my first week in the contest and I am humbled and amazed by how well things are going so far. Right now we're in the top 25% with 15 pre-orders, and the competition has grown to over 200 entrants! THANK YOU to everyone who has shown their support so far, especially to those who have followed through with a pre-order. You are all amazing and I hope I can reciprocate one day soon.

If anyone has any questions about the story, the contest, how inkshares works, etc., let me know!

There will be some BIG news tomorrow! That's all I can say for now ;)

A new chapter is posted! I decided to jump the gun a bit to kick off the weekend by sharing a little bit more. Please enjoy What Lies Ahead

Please let me know which parts you like and which parts don't make sense, or any other feedback you might have to offer. This is my first time sharing my writing with the public, so I am eager to learn what I should work on and what might be resonating with you.

Thank you !!

Hi All! Welcome to my project page!

I've decided to enter into the Nerdist Collection Contest on a bit of a whim, because, well, why not? Right now I'm just past halfway finished writing my first draft and I figured putting my novel out there like this would be a good way to push myself to beat my self-imposed deadline. So feel free to ask me questions and pester me to hurry up! And if you want to throw a pre-order my way that'd be mightily appreciated too! ;)
