75% there!
Thanks to your overwhelming support we passed the 3/4 mark and are barreling towards the 750 preorders we need to get Trigor published. THANK YOU!
With two weeks to go I feel pretty good about it but I think we’d all feel better if it was just, you know, 100% already. ;)
So to motivate folks I’m going to offer to give a link to a PDF of ANOTHER book I have coming out this summer called Gallium. If you ever read my book, Lot Beta, you’ll recognise the universe. It’s not a sequel but it’s set in the same world. MThis time it’s a woman in a salvage operation trying to make a go of it and having forces set against her when she discovers ancient history that powerful people don’t want discovered.
Anyway if we get Trigor funded I’ll send out a link to the PDF of Gallium to all backers.
So spread the word, and thanks to all who have been. Y’all are the best.
Tom
We have 60%! THANK YOU!
The Trigor funding is more than halfway there. We just need an average of about 7 orders a day for the rest of the period to make sure Pilot X’s further adventures can be shared with the world (including via audiobook!)
So here’s what I’d like you to do if you can and you’re willing to help.
Tell one person. Whether it’s on Facebook, Twitter, in person, at the coffee shop on the radio, in the bathroo... strike that last one. Tell at least one person about Trigor and why you think they’d enjoy it and should pre-order to get it published.
Do that for me and I will be unendingly grateful and you will have done your good deed for the day. Plus you get to brag that you were there first.
THANK YOU!
Here’s the current line I’m editing
"Pilot X was trying to land on a civilized planet with decent traffic control. That meant he had to establish who he was and why he was there. This was difficult for him. He flew in a time ship which shouldn’t exist. "
HALFWAY THERE! Thanks to all of you, we’re halfway to publishing Trigor, the followup to Pilot X. Man this has been nerve-wracking. But thanks to your support I’m still a believer that enough people liked the first book to want to find out a little more about the adventures of Pilot X and Verity!
So if you feel it’s right, spread the word! The faster we get to 750 orders the faster we can get to work editing, designing the cover, getting the audiobook into production, etc.
As a thanks to y’all here’s a little snippet of the part I’m working on editing today. I promise it’s out of context enough that it won’t spoil anything. Unless you’re very concerned about the fate of pineapple.
EXCERPT: Kayla glared at her then took another bite. “So, you do have a pineapple. You didn’t lie about that.” “He’s not lying about anything,” said Glonda. “I figure he brought you here to show that we trust him and you can too. To be honest we just met him so what do we know? But he’s meant everything he said, and he hasn’t lied.”
THANK YOU
On to 750!
Almost halfway! THANK YOU!
So we’re progressing along on Trigor. I knew this would move a little slower than Pilot X because sequel, but it’s progressing nicely. I also remember that even with Pilot X we had a bit of a mid-way slowdown. It’s something psychological. People love being in at the end to help push something across the finish line.
So I need your help getting that momentum back and rolling past the midway point. If you could, sometime today just mention Trigor and the Inkshares campaign. If you’re feeling really generous, tweet it or post it on Facebook or sing it on Musical.ly or whatever it is you kids do these days. Any passing of the word is truly appreciated!
AND let me know what else I can do for you in return? Another sample chapter? A recipe for pie? A song? You name it!
Thanks again SO much for believing in good ol’ Pilot X.
Tom
We are 40% of the way to funding Trigor with 73 days left! This is funding almost as fast as Pilot X did, so HUGE thanks to everyone who has put faith in this book with a pre-order.
We have two sample chapters up. One is the first chapter and the other does not spoil major plot points from the rest of the book. They are only spoilery in that after having read them you will know what happens in them.
And I’m willing to answer more questions too! Any th9oughts you have on Pilot X or what may be happening in Trigor fly them my way.
And of course big thanks to everyone who has been passing along the link and getting others to order it. I raise my cup of coffee to you and will buy a slice of pie in your honor!
Cheers,
Tom
