World Series Racing is a sport, drama, high school and action novel currently in development. There’s a lot to this synopsis, so be prepared for a LONG read.
"World Series Racing, better referred to as WSR, is a sport of endurance, intelligence, speed and guts. WSR is a championship race series, for not only fame and fortune, but also a race for survival. The previous season saw a total of eight racers killed in the championship series, this left WSR with a bad popularity for the general public. But that’s not stopping them from continuing on, especially with a prize pot of $14.8m shared amongst 1st, 2nd and 3rd this season. Brandon Mitchell and Riley Donovan are two racers within the WSR, they’re referred to by their numbers: “751” for Brandon and “75” for Riley. They have been crowned series champions two times each, leaving them as the best team in the championship. Surprisingly enough, they are only fifteen years old.
Their lives are about to change as they head to Kalmount City, Queensland. They are preparing to win the four races needed to win the North Queensland Trophy, two at Kalmount City and two at Grid Raceway Stadium. This wouldn’t be so bad, if the Queensland Government didn’t mandate Brandon and Riley to attend Kalmount High School. The State Government have a mandated legislation which states that “people between the ages of 5 and 15 must attend an education facility”. The High School also has a policy that should anyone be driving without a Queensland Learners or Provisional License, they will be expelled. If Brandon and Riley get expelled from Kalmount High School, they will have to attend the nearest high school which is ninety-five kilometres away. Why would they have to move? Because someone in the school is paying their rent, and its a staff member, not a student. They also have to be living in the area of both raceways, to be liable to enter the competition. Otherwise, they will be scrapped from the racing line-up!
With all these problems laid down by the law, the WSR Administration Committee and by the school, Brandon and Riley will have to obey them to stay in the competition. But with their skills and their way of life, will they be able to stick to the suggested line or will they crash and burn?"
