Simply, Wish
As I stare up at what is tonight’s
Meteor shower, I search
The constellations
Awaiting the right one
For that flying speck
Of light,
Of meaning
To make my move
And wish
With all of me
That wants the world
With everything
Life could offer
Simply, just
By wishing upon
A falling star
Soaring through the air
Thinking, this wish
That I could make
On this star
Would let life
Fall in to my hands
