This is a work in progress (only a few chapters in) and a book I am writing as I go along, but the general idea/plot is thus:
The story follows the troubled fourteen-year-old orphan boy, Derrec, who has been imprisoned in the dark dungeons of Val Regias, and is sold illegally as a slave to a travelling merchant. When they arrive at the small village of Mindah, everything seemed to be normal, but when a band of soldiers from a neighbouring realm attack, it soon becomes a battle for survival.
As the story unfolds Derrec’s hidden past will gradually be unveiled, and he will discover the meaning behind his dreams and of the destiny that has already forged his path, no matter his decisions. He will learn the truth and what it means to be a Wolfseer, and decide the fates of many.
About The Author
I am an artist and newly-found writer of fantasy, who was intrigued by my mother’s idea of writing a novel partially based on a mythical dog that was rumoured to have roamed East Anglia as far back as the Middle Ages. When I read a small draft of the now published Dawn of the Awakening Part 1: Demon’s Bite, I quickly leapt at the prospect of writing it with my mother.
My love of art came from my mother and was eager to learn it more progressively through Fakenham High School in GCSE’s. However, I never pursued it as a career, but continues art projects as a pastime hobby.
Growing up, I had always lived with dogs and realized how much I loved animals. Throughout my 7 years of study at Easton College, I learned Animal Care and finally graduated with a Foundation Degree in Ecology and Conservation.
I currently live in Norfolk, England, and is the youngest of two daughters.
