At its base, "Winners" is about the haves and the have-nots and the role that privilege plays in society. It’s a black comedy that asks what would happen if some regular working people who struggle day to day suddenly became wealthy and how their lives would change. They also encounter some strange characters due to their newfound wealth, people who don’t necessarily have their best interests at heart.
