Sorry for the lack of updates, life has been, well, it’s life. However chapter 1 is solidly in alpha and I’m revising chapter 2. As soon as chapter 1 is ready for beta, I’ll post it here and place this idea in draft mode.

So I haven’t been around much because I’ve been working on the first revision of this novel. Once the first five chapters are done (proofed, and been through my alpha readers), I’ll place this in draft mode and post up the first five chapters. 

I actually have a first draft written. I’m taking a little time to step away from it. I want to revise it with fresh eyes. I’m looking to start the revision process sometime around April 1st. As soon as I have the first chapter revised, I’ll move this project into draft mode and post it up for everyone to take a look at. 

This sounds like a coming of age with super powers kind of thing.  For many young people just becoming a adult is hard enough but throw in abilities that might have something to do with fire and you’ve got a great concept.  I’m looking forward to more.

The concept was really hard to boil down to 20 words. In the end I went with the main story, the theme will be a quasi-Faulkner meets the X-men.
