This may be hard to believe, but when I was growing up (which honestly wasn’t terribly long ago) there weren’t a lot of female protagonists in fantasy novels. So, I wrote my own. Sela’s story started as a ten page short which grew into a novel when I realized there was enough to her and her story to make a novel. I’ve since done a rewrite of the entire novel and that is the version you see here.

As a weaver Sela was pulled her family to grow up with the other children in the palace, including the crown prince, Arkin. Sela loves her life as a weaver, but with her friends growing up around her and leaving her behind, she is forced to make decisions that will impact her city. But if she has to commit treason to save her city, will even her friendship with the royal family be enough to save her?
