I am officially in the home stretch of putting together the first draft of VEXED. It’s turning out to be quite a beast, with lots of fact checking and research going into the last few chapters. Not to mention the careful plotting of stitching together this world that ties THE KNIGHTMARES and VEXED together. Yes, that’s correct...I’m creating a shared universe, and I had the idea way before the Marvel Cinematic Universe made it en fuego. I call this overlapping story SCALES, but more on that later...
Ideally, I’m looking to start promoting VEXED with a trailer and some artwork within the next 6 months, so stay tuned for that.
Meanwhile, if you haven’t already, pick up a copy of The Knightmares! Seriously! Get in on the ground floor of this one.
As for something new, here’s a brand-spankin’ new synopsis for VEXED:
Tony, a thirty year-old struggling to make it day-to-day due to a traumatic past that took the love of his life a decade ago, is wallowing in his own misery when a series of nightmares begin to rattle his world. Reliving the past may be key to his future, if he can survive long enough to figure it all out. Creatures of immense power are hunting him down, and to Tony’s surprise, he knows each and every one of them. They are The 13, and they took everything from him.
I wanted everyone to know that this project has not been abandoned. It might even be more near and dear to my heart than The Knightmares is. I have been busy. A new job. A heck of a commute, and sometimes walking through the door 12 hours after I left. It’s been brutal and it hasn’t been very kind to my writing.
With that said, now that The Knightmares is done and turned in, I am going to concentrate on VEXED more. This story has it all! True love! Spills! Chills! Myths! Legends!
...and a cursed girl who couldn’t be more blessed.

Just a quick note that I have not been purposely neglecting Vexed. As I wrap up what I hope to be a successful campaign with THE KNIGHTMARES, (currently 15 pre-orders short of Quill with 35 days left in the campaign) I have been working diligently at finishing a first draft of the entire Vexed manuscript.
As with any story of this magnitude, there are a series of continuity issues that I am working out, and ideas that I came up while writing that I have to retrofit to earlier chapters.
In other words, there is a lot to work on.
With that said, I will be posting more chapters and excerpts for opinions. When I do, I will gladly trade critiques with people to give and get some feedback. So keep an eye out for that.
In the meantime, check out THE KNIGHTMARES and grab yourself a copy, and help a guy get his first novel published!

I wrote the beginnings of this story 10 years ago and have slowly made my way through writing two-thirds of it. Earlier tonight, for fun, I went back and looked at the first chapter and did a quick edit and wanted to share it with all of you.
I am nowhere near ready for the funding process on Vexed, but it doesn’t hurt to try and build a fanbase.
Vexed, as you will see, is much much different than my other project currently funding, THE KNIGHTMARES (if you haven’t pre-ordered yet, go hit that up right now!). This story is much more dark and delves into many of the things I love, like mythology.
