My name is Kevin Broussard, and I’m a 25-year old History Professor in Houston TX. I started writing when I was 15, and through some college courses my writing style was shaped into what you see here.
My book came from a role-playing game that my friends and I were playing. The story and characters were so compelling to me that I couldn’t let them die after we stopped playing, so I began writing about them.
The book is finished except for professional editing. I’m open to suggestions from users on this site, as I’m sure it’s not perfect, but I’ve made it as good as I can make it on my own. I’ve been working on it since late 2011, finished the story in mid-2012, and have been tweaking it ever since, and I’ve also written a sequel to it and have started on the third book. If I’m able to implement the story how I want to, there will be 10 books, all centered around these characters and more that we’ll meet in subsequent books. My goal is to write an epic fantasy that’s still accessible to the general public as far as book length goes. Unexpected Paths is currently 124,000 words, and there are 28 chapters, in addition to a prologue and epilogue.
