The preliminary rewrite is DONE! Well, not quite, but the chapters I’m willing to share are done. The rest... Well, we’ll just have to see where this project goes, won’t we?

This is a horror story inspired by the writings of Aleister Crowley, along with the links between the Tree of Life in Kabbalah and the Tarot. It delves into mortality, and the trades people are willing to make in their errant quest for immortality.

This is, as stated above, an early draft. Therefore some (or most likely all) of this is subject to change. However, this is my first work on Inkshares, so I figured why not get input during these early stages that I would usually write in paranoid solitude.

Hopefully you dig what I’m working on, and if you do please let me know, along with any criticism that you feel worth sharing. I do try to update this daily (when possible), so if a chapter seems to be unfinished it most likely is, and I promise to try and avoid leaving anyone hanging too long.

Now for the mandatory disclaimer:

This is a work of fiction, I do try to weave magick (as Crowley preferred to spell it) into the story as a means to give the mystic elements of the story a level of grounding, the same way hard sci-fi incorporates scientific theories to add realism. However, the magick is still fictionalized, and being used for nefarious ends. This story is not meant to give a ’real’ view of mysticism or communities that embrace magick.
