After figuring out the answer to life, the universe, and everything, I decided to settle down into teaching high school English. During the past year, I asked my students to do a lot of things. I always pushed them wanting more more more. I demanded they write daily. They wrote journals, research papers, informative essay, creative writing project, and many other things.

While talking to a student who asked me to help them improve their writing, the topic was brought up and I asked, "What have you written lately?" And being a teenager, they immediately shot back with, "What have YOU written lately?!?!" They were doing it to be funny, but at that moment, I realized I was being a hypocrite. I demanded my students write, yet I was not writing myself.

So I decided to write this summer with the goal of writing a book for publication. Through inkshares.com I am going to hopefully harness major motivation from people who would want to read my book. I thought maybe if I see people preordering then I would be more motivated because that would mean people actually want to read what I’m writing.
