• My name is Saul Rip and it has always been my dream to illustrate my own books. This story is fully illustrated, with two images per chapter depicting characters and scenes. This project is the culmination of 20 years of work, and it’s finally ready.
  • The idea for this story came as a result of a collaboration with Lewis N. Clark of Winnemucca, Nevada. We worked together on it all the way till his death in 2003. Lewis’ creativity was critical to the development of the story, and pieces of him are visible throughout the writing. Our story is based on gargoyles and their history. We depended on a mixture of Greek mythology, Native American Lore, and Middle Eastern themes to construct the gargoyle culture. The series we developed follows a family of gargoyles who have been imbued with special gifts in order to endow them with the necessary abilities to overthrow an evil king who continues to expand his power. It is a colorful experience that is entirely driven by emotion, making it a powerful journey for any reader to follow.
  • Though I have worked on it a long time, I would love any feedback regarding improvements to dialogue, as well as making sure that events in the story are explained with clarity. Thank you for participating in this contribution to the world.
