I came up with this story based upon a poem I wrote years earlier. One day while listening to my muse, aka Lindsey Stirling, the poem began whispering to me, and the concept for Shadow of the Moons was born. (Or was it the moon gods - oh no!) I included that poem below:

With faces white, Stricken with fear

They’ll report their news,

"A solar eclipse is here!

Oh and Alas, the Shadow of the Moon

the Bringer of Death is near!"

Upon a world held in derision,

She’ll disembark, and foster,

A culture riddled with superstition,

Oh and Alas, the Shadow of the Moon,

The Bringer of Death was seen in a Vision.

A dark expression in her eyes will tarry

A cold visage emblazoned.

She’ll be sure, your screams will carry.

Oh and Alas, the Shadow of the Moon,

Of the Bringer of Death, be weary.

When the moons swallow the Sun,

The strings of night will strum

To your houses and your families do run, Run RUN!

Oh and Alas, the Shadow of the Moon

The Bringer of Death has come!
